QVC got the best of me not too long ago and I ordered the Emjoi Epilator. I had heard horror stories about how much epilators hurt and how they don’t work and about how they make your skin look awful for hours after use, but something came over me and said just order it and try it yourself, maybe it was QVC’s 30 day money back guarantee – either way I ordered it and I got it about a week or so later. So being the beauty gadget enthusiast that I am I gave it a whirl the night I got it. Let me first say, ouch! It does hurt, I used it on my legs and around the ankles is a killer but overall it’s more of a very annoying mild pain, on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being intense labor pain it’s about a 2. The first time I used it I noticed that either I didn’t do a great job at moving it around to get every single hair or it just doesn’t grab all the hair perfectly, but I was left with some areas of long hair and other areas with stubble. Almost as if the hair broke off instead of being ripped out by the root, but I’m not ready to send it back yet. I’m willing to try it a few more times to see if I get the hang of it and it removes hair better.
